Article Processing Charge
PHI IUSTITIA: Journal of Law and Multidisciplinary Studies applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the journal's operational sustainability and to ensure the quality of open-access scholarly publishing.
Payment Mechanism
The APC is charged only after the author receives an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the Editor-in-Chief confirming that the manuscript has been accepted for publication. No fee of any kind is charged during submission, desk review, or peer review. Authors are under no obligation to make any payment before the LOA is issued.

Fee Waiver Policy
PHI IUSTITIA provides fee waivers (partial or full) for the following categories:
- Active members of Perkumpulan Palu Hukum Indonesia.
- Authors from institutions with an active memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the association.
- Authors submitting a formal waiver request accompanied by an official supporting letter from their institution, subject to review and approval by the Managing Editor.
- Authors from underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions, or students without research funding, upon submission of a written request to the editorial office.
Waiver requests must be submitted together with the manuscript through the OJS system. To safeguard editorial independence, waiver requests are evaluated and decided by the Managing Editor — who is not involved in the peer-review process — and the decision is made independently of, and without reference to, the peer-review outcome. Approval or rejection of a waiver request has no bearing on the review or publication decision.
Refund Policy
- The APC is non-refundable once the article has been copyedited, laid out, assigned a DOI, and published.
- If an author withdraws a manuscript after payment but before production begins, the author may request a full refund by written notice to the editorial office.
- If a manuscript is retracted due to a proven ethical violation attributable to the author (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication), the APC already paid will not be refunded.
- If a processing error is attributable to the journal (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect invoice amount), a full refund or correction will be issued promptly upon verification.
Transparency and Editorial Independence
APC information is published openly on this page and is not concealed from authors prior to submission. The APC amount and any fee waiver decision have absolutely no influence on the acceptance of an article. All editorial decisions are made independently based solely on the scientific merit of the manuscript, in accordance with the integrity principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
